Why Marriage Enrichment & Family Strengthening?

Healthy Family Events are unique, because experienced foster/adoptive parents who have both education and practical experience present the training. Secondly, a unique focus is placed on the foundational relationship of the home, the marriage.  Caring for abandoned and previously neglected children places a strain on even the strongest of marriages.  Couples need a forum to address these challenges while being encouraged by others who have walked a similar path.  Thirdly, the children’s program is excellent and specialized for at-risk kids, enabling mom and dad to attend the all day event together.  Many couples are not even able to attend church together because of the special needs of their children and lack of appropriate care.  Families who attend these events walk away with a renewed sense of hope and commitment to growing as parents and husbands and wives.  We celebrate what is working well in the family and face head on those things that are causing stress.
